Senior Marine Biologist

Lauren Floyd specializes in environmental permitting and monitoring for beach nourishment and coastal structure projects on Florida’s Gulf coast. Ms. Floyd manages environmental aspects of coastal projects and has overseen state and federal permitting, agency coordination, permit compliance tracking, biological monitoring programs, and mitigation assessments for coastal projects since 2006. Ms. Floyd regularly presents at state and nationwide conferences and serves on the Florida Shore & Beach Preservation Association Executive Planning Committee. She is a scientific diver with extensive experience designing and implementing monitoring and mitigation programs for hardbottom, coral reefs, artificial reefs, and seagrass. Ms. Floyd is also trained and experienced in NEPA implementation and routinely prepares environmental documents in support of ESA Section 7 consultation.
